Year 2 Projects
KOCHEN Year 2 Semester 1 Pulau Ubin
We were assigned groups to analyse Pulau Ubin and find a site area where we want to build our creation. We went through the analysis and went there to do on-site research and surveys. In addition, we created a co-creation game to allow our co-creative to be more innovative and interesting to the people that we are interviewing.
With that so, we were tasked to design a community centre for Pulau Ubin that would attract users on the Mainland to come to this island. I designed a community centre to allow the residents re-live the time when they planted together reminisce those times and build a stronger relationship. My general concept is a long hallway linking all the blocks of building together with one side being the public section and the other being the private section.

剧院 Year 2 Semester 2 Boat Quay

For this project, we were tasked to design a hotel for our site in Boat Quay. We started off with the site analysis in our own groups. We interviewed tourists, office workers and different types of users in that area.
This project is a hotel design using a existing site in Boat Quay, Singapore. The architecture was designed with the target audience closely in mind. It is a place where people can come together to dine, for entertainment and a shelter above their heads.

Through this whole project, I have learnt to come out of my comfort zone as we need to interview people for our site analysis. I have also learnt how to work with different people that I am not close to working with as this is the first time that the teacher set the groupings for us.
Year 3 Projects
FARBA Year 3 Semester 1 Primer

The task given to me is to design a building based on just one word 'express'. We were given a Utopia Site with our individual plot of land is allocated to us. This project that I have come up with is a colour therapy building that helps the user to relieve tension and stress. The main idea of this building is a maze that allow the user to walk through the whole building, experiencing many colour therapy experiences through the entire building.
Fort Canning Year 3 Semester 1
Due to the COVID - 19 pandemic outbreak that happened during our semester, we had to do our site analysis for our final project using just the means of the internet. My group were tasked to analysis sub division 2, which mainly consists of the river valley area. Through this site analysis, I have learnt that is not easy to do the site analysis online as there are many things that needed to go to the site to research about.
Burke Year 3 Semester 1 Final

For this project, we were tasked to come up with a building that is built on the site in fort canning. After we analyse the site in fort canning, we must come up with problems that appears around the site and we must design a building that can help to clarify the problems.
For me, the problem that I noticed around the site is the abundance of elderly. This is why i came up with a intergenerational community centre where the holes between different generations can be patched up and people would not be left out because of the invisible hole so called generation gap”. The target audience for this project is mainly family, youth which is the younger generation and elderly which is the older generation.
YDA 2020

For this project, we were to design the different rooms for the Young Designer Award 2020.
The Curvature Of Time Year 3 Semester 2 Primer

The task given to me is to design a structure as to offer its community a new platform of exploration and social awareness as well as enjoyment for communal social activities.
I was tasked to come up with a design for the structure based on a precedent and what we have learned from a site visit we did during the holiday. This structure I came up with is a exhibition that brings people to the past and into the future using the colour of the interior. It also allows vendors to display items in the exhibition to allow people to look at it.
The Bridge Of Life Year 3 Semester 2 Final

There is always this 'hole' in between the different generations known as the generation gap and this 'hole' needs to be filled up before it gets bigger and cannot be patched up. Thus, after receiving the design brief of the final project of my final semester. For this project, I was tasked to continue and improve on the project from semester 1.
For this final project, I stick to the concept from semester 1 which emphasizes on the bridge as the whole concept which connects the different generations together with the different intergenerational programs throughout the building. Programs such as a community kitchen and a amphitheatre. Other than just having a place where the different generations can bond and improve their relationship, there is also a place for the couples and their family as their after party area after their solemnization at the ROM. This building is connected to the ROM via a bridge and people can come to this building from ROM and is also connected to Fort Canning
